 August 18, 2012 – Hot Import Nights – Expo and Fiesta Halls

Auto show featuring compact and tuner import cars. Throughout the year, Hot Import Nights hosts single-night events in a number of different cities across the US. Many noteworthy hip-hop and rap musicians performed at these shows.  There have also been performances by noteworthy DJ’s.  Hot Import Nights shows combine a nightclub-like atmosphere with “tuner” (automotive modification) competitions. HIN also highlights the growing subculture of compact car owners, representing both domestic and imported vehicles.

August 26 – Pakistan Association of the San Francisco Bay Area, Independence Day Celebration

Time:  11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Celebrating the 65th Jashn-e-Azadi of Pakistan!  Free Admission, parking $10. Live music, ethnic foods, Pakistani merchandise at this free cultural event.  The Pakistan Association of SanFrancisco Bay Area is an organization which is above any political, religious or financial aims. Its sole mission is to bring together the Pakistani Community and groom them Culturally, Socially by arranging and holding events and other activities and Assist Pakistani American Community morally.

August 4 & 5, 2012 – 17th Annual San Francisco Bay Area Aloha Festival

Time:  10am – 5pm

Admission:  FREE!  Parking: $10, cash per vehicle

The Pacific Islanders of the San Francisco Bay Area offer their talents in music and dance during this FREE ADMISSION, two-day festival of arts held during the first full weekend of every August. Entertainment highlights include Pacific Islander music as well as Polynesian dance. The festival will also feature arts & crafts vendors, island cuisine, educational exhibits and workshops, and an `Ohana Korner with simple games for the kids!  This is an alcohol and drug free event. August 11 &12, 2012  – Total Control Advance Riding Clinic

Time:  8am – 6pm

Total Control, a motorcycle riding clinic, returns to San Mateo County Event Center on August 11th for its Advanced Riding Course.  Taught by Lee Parks, this course is intended for riders who wish to enhance their skills in a controlled environment with expert instruction.
