December 29, 30 & 31: Bustamante Enterprises, Inc. Antiques Show and Sale, Fiesta Hall 

Antiques and collectibles ranging from 17th century tapestries to art nouveau and deco accessories and jewelry are featured at the show. Prestigious dealers from throughout the country display millions of dollars worth of such rarities as Tiffany lamps, Ming vases, Renaissance furniture and paintings, Georgian silver and many other unique antiquities.

Admission: $8.00/General, $5.00/Senior Citizens.  Children 12 and under, free.

Dates and Time:  Sat and Sun:  11am – 7pm, Mon: 11am – 5pm

January 5-6:  Northern California Volleyball Association — Boys’ Far Western Bid Tournament, Expo Hall

2012 marked the 30th year anniversary of the NCVA servicing Northern California from the Oregon border to Bakersfield including Northern Nevada.  NCVA’s Power League consists of a two day Qualifier and a two day Region Championship both held in a state of the art convention centers with top trained referees in addition to three league tournament days in between. Power League produces some of the top teams at the USAV Junior National Championship level year after year.

Admission: FREE!

Dates and Time:  Sat and Sun:  8:30 am  — 5:30 pm

Parking:  $10, cash per vehicle

January 8 and 22:  Auction.com, Sequoia Hall

The largest foreclosed home auctions, trustee sale foreclosure auctions, luxury home auctions, commercial property auctions, note auctions & land auctions.

Dates and Time: January 8 and 22 —  Registration, 12pm; Auction begins 1pm

What to bring:  Cash or cash equivalent (permitted forms of checks should be made payable to yourself or Auction.com, LLC) required on auction day.  Government-issued identification required on auction day.

January 9: MPSF Speaker Series, Fiesta Hall

The MPSF Speaker Series has twice been voted “Best Lecture Series in the Nation” by the International Platform Association, and provides 3 separate speakers series locations.  Past speakers have included President Jimmy Carter, Bill Moyers, Lesley Stahl, Ann Richard and Carl Sagan.

Speaker scheduled for January 9:  Robert Gates.
