May 4 – 6:  Northern California Volleyball Association, Expo and Fiesta Halls

2012 marked the 30th year anniversary of the NCVA servicing Northern California from the Oregon border to Bakersfield including Northern Nevada.  NCVA’s Power League consists of a two day Qualifier and a two day Region Championship both held in a state of the art convention centers with top trained referees in addition to three league tournament days in between. Power League produces some of the top teams at the USAV Junior National Championship level year after year.

Admission: FREE!

Dates and Time:  Sat and Sun:  8:30 am  — 5:30 pm

Parking:  $10, cash per vehicle

May 4 -5:  Total Control Motorcycle Riding Clinic, East Parking Lot

Total Control, a motorcycle riding clinic, returns to San Mateo County Event Center on May 4th and 5th for its Advanced Riding Course.  Taught by Lee Parks, this course is intended for riders who wish to enhance their skills in a controlled environment with expert instruction.  For more information:  http://www.totalcontroltraining.net/index.html

May 18 & 19:  Maker Faire Bay Area

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.
